Dark Matter, it’s not as dark as you think it is.

What is dark matter?

Dark matter, it sounds very intricate and hard to learn and I am sure that it is. But that does not say that you can’t learn about it. To understand dark matter you have to first understand what regular matter is, regular matter makes up about 5% of the universe, the rest is dark energy(70%) and dark matter(25%).

Regular matter is everything we can observe, for example, your computer, your lovable little puppy (or other pet), even the galaxies, earth, and anything else you can see with your eyes. So now that we understand what regular matter is we can focus on exactly what the heck dark matter is. Dark matter is a substance that we can’t see. Think of it this way, if there would not be any dark matter the whole universe won’t exist. When scientists measured the gravity of the regular matter in the galaxies they realized that there just was not enough matter to cause the formation of unique and complicated systems of dark matter, so scientists concluded that there is something else. That something else is dark matter, dark matter does not combine with light so we cannot…
