Killing animals is cruel and unnecessary. More than 100 million animals are killed each year because of sport hunting. Sport Hunting should be banned. Countless animals have long painful deaths when they are not killed but injured by hunters.
A study showed that 80 white-tailed deer and of those 22 were shot and 11 were wounded but not recovered. Most of the animals that eat the white-tailed deer will not eat these deer resulting in more deaths and not enough food leaving these animals extinct or endangered. A South Dakota Department of game estimates that three million ducks go unretrieved every year. That could lead to the extinction/endangerment of the ducks which could lead to the endangerment of other animals. This is one of the many many reasons why we should end this cruel practice.
Hunting accidents destroy property and injure or kill horses, cows, dogs, cats, hikers, and other hunters. In 2006 the Vice President famously shot a friend while hunting quail. Even the Vise President did that who knows maybe this could happen to you. As the National Shooting Sports Foundation states that thousands of injuries due to hunting in the U.S. every year — and that’s the only number including humans. This shows and proves that you and your loved ones can be injured. This are many of the risks of sport hunting.
